Horse Riding
After matching guests to horses, the ride starts off slowly along narrow trails allowing
riders to gain confidence in the saddle. There are a few trotting and cantering sections as
the trail rises to a ridge line that overlooks the Otway Ranges.
Guests can expect to see plenty of bird life and the occasional wallaby, kangaroo and
echidna. The ride ends back at the homestead where guests will be able to thank their
horses with a carrot and friendly pat.
We finish the event with a cool microbrew beer back at the homestead.
Mountain Biking
The Surf Coast isn’t just a haven for surfers.
The Anglesea and Point Addiss Heathland offers a great range of mountain bike paths that
include single track and wider 4WD trails. We can also include challenging hills and
expansive coastal views for your group.
We use single suspension mountain bikes for the two hour rides.
The rides starts with ice cream at the Great Ocean Road Ice Creamery.
We then assign bikes and helmets, adjust seats and provide a safety briefing. When then
head out on a quiet road before heading into the bush. Once riders get familiar with their
equipment and improve their skills, we gradually take the group on more advanced trails.
The ride includes spectacular views over Bass Strait and a visit to Bells Beach. We finish
up back at the resort.
Surfing
Surfing lessons are a great healthy way to bring your team together for an unforgettable
experience. Our instructors have Surfing Australia qualifications, and we will have your team up and
riding in no time.
The two hour lessons take place at the most suitable beach on the Surf Coast. When the
swell is up we head to Point Addis with it’s gentle spilling waves providing a great
playground for those who have never been on a board in their lives. On small surf days we
can head to Torquay or Jan Juc.
Adventure for Life will also professionally photograph your lessons, ensuring that your
delegates receive a personal souvenir from the day. All images are delivered on disc or
can be put up on the big screen if your group is having a post surfing function.
If your group is competitive, we can also run a tag team surf competition at the end of the
lesson.
