Meet the Team
Iain Lygo (Director, Sales and Event Manager)
After working in the surf and ski industries for 10 years, Iain started working in corporate team building in 2004 and established Adventure for Life in 2009. He has an accounting and finance background, an arts degree in journalism and Indonesian studies, and post graduate degree in journalism. Iain is a qualified surf instructor, was a professional cricket player/coach, and is wilderness group leader certified. He speaks Indonesian and still competes in adventure races, open ocean swims, and cycling events.
Hayley Miles (Sales Manager)
Hayley is keen adventurer and traveller with ten years experience in sales and marketing in the MICE industry.
Hayley has an arts degree from Monash University with post graduate qualifications in Media Sales. She is also a qualified personal trainer who is passionate about fitness for new mums like herself.
Nigel Muscroft (Event Manager).
Nige is the elite athlete in the Adventure for Life team. He is a former pro surfer on the WQS tour and won an Australian title in 2006. Nige now regularly podiums in adventure races and just competed in the Asia Pacific off road triathlon championships.
A highly experienced event manager, Nige has run multiple Quiksilver Pros on the Gold Coast and Winter Festivals in Queenstown. Nige is qualified personal trainer specialising in surf fitness. He trains and mentors future surfing champions through Surf Fitness Network.
Jules Muncey (Facilitator)
After growing up and studying science in Australia, Jules has recently embraced his Indonesian heritage with an extended stay with his Balinese family. Jules recently underwent a “potong gigi” (teeth filing ceremony) in Bali. This religious ceremony is an important rite of passage for Balinese Hindus.
Jules is a keen surfer, cricketer, and fisher. He is also a qualified free-diver instructor who can hold his breath underwater for an impressive five minutes.
Jack is currently undertaking climate studies at Monash University after transferring from the arts/business school.
He is an accomplished sportsmen who plays competitive cricket and soccer. Jack is a tennis coach, surfer, and adventurer. He also speaks Bahasa Indonesia and has studied at a major Javanese University.
Tony Wills (Facilitator/adventure guide).
He’s the one on the left!! Tony is the all-rounder of the team because he’s great at everything. He is an accomplished exhibited artist, musician, surfer, mountain biker, graphic designer and teacher.
Tony is a qualified surf and mountain bike instructor, and has taught boat building to non-academically inclined school kids.
